The dark side of the Japanese lottery

Today I will talk about the dark side of the Japanese lottery, where the procession in front of the lottery counter can be said to be a tradition at the end of the year.

The lottery uses popular actors to promote it extensively, so I believe it does not have a bad reputation compared to other forms of gambling, such as horse racing or pachinko.

Because the lottery’s winning amount is extremely high, many people happily spend much money on it, while dreaming of their own home or luxury travel.

However, compared with other countries, the Japanese lottery has a lower return rate. Moreover, lottery tickets have an overwhelmingly lower return rate than horse racing and pachinko, and most of them are used for taxes and parachuted rights of high government officials.

Winning the lottery depends on just luck, and people don't have to think. It may be the only way to become a millionaire easily, but the odds of winning a big prize are extremely low.

Rich people never buy lottery tickets because they know that it is the government’s way of exploiting the poor.

As far as I know, no one who invests never buys a lottery ticket, but it makes sense to think that it's as stupid as day trading at a limit of double the market price in the case of return rate.
